CIO, CTO, and IT leaders in the SPJ Karma Network mingled with the finest startups in Silicon Valley and discussed what’s hot in IT and how our collective expertise can transform business' IT solutions.

The evening was moderated by industry veteran Rhos Dyke with special guest and venture expert Ross Mandel, Co-Founder of The Tony Scott Group and Policy Advisor to Squire Patton Boggs.

This casual networking event gave conference attendees the chance to get away from the crowded conference floor, enjoy food and drinks, and have meaningful conversations with SPJs portfolio of companies.

Digital Transformation Privacy Series

SPJ and Squire Patton Boggs co-hosted business leaders from across the globe at the Digital Transformation Privacy Series on November 8th. Rick Arney, co-author of The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 and board member of Californians for Consumer Privacy, presented a keynote “fireside chat” at the forum.
Rick discussed the path that California’s groundbreaking initiative – based on the principles of transparency, control and accountability – took from concept to reality. Following the keynote discussion, leading Silicon Valley voices explored the space between laws that seek to protect individuals and companies that are driven by personal data, and considered how we strike a workable balance between fostering innovation and adhering to regulations.

SPJ & Technologent Customer Event at the 2018 World Series (Dodgers v Red Sox)

Bike MS: Waves to Wine

Founder PJ Johnson led SPJ team “Snow Leopards” at the Bike MS Waves to Wine fundraising cycling series benefiting the National MS Society. The 100 mile cycling course runs from San Francisco to Sonoma County and raises more money than any other cycling event for any other cause. To date, Bike MS cyclists, volunteers, and donors have raised more than $1B to help people affected by MS live their best lives, stop MS in its tracks, restore what’s been lost, and end MS forever. Team Snow Leopards alone raised over $10K at the 2018 event!

SPJ Demo Day - Gilead Sciences Global Executive IT Summit

4th Annual IoT in Oil & Gas Conference
